Poplar wood is suitable for direct food contact. It is lightweight, retains its shape once filled, and its light-coloured grain enhances the colours of your preparations without the need for printing or additional decoration. For highly aromatic or very moist recipes, the paper/PET liner prevents any contact between the food and the wood.

Choosing the right food-grade wooden box

First, check which components are oven-safe and which are not. The poplar wood base equipped with its paper/PET liner is suitable for the oven up to 200°C, microwave and freezer.

The only wooden lids that are not suitable for either the oven or microwave are those for the 1L and 1.5L Woodbox. The lid must be removed before reheating and can then be replaced for serving or transport. This is clearly stated on the product specifications and is an important point to keep in mind.

Next, choose between the base only or the complete set with lid. The base alone is ideal for display and hot counter service. The closed set is the best choice whenever the dish needs to be transported.

The liners are also available separately, in white or black, allowing you to change the look of your presentation without changing the box.

Finally, consider the packaging quantities, which range from just a few pieces for the larger formats to several thousand for the liners. Large diameters can be ordered by the unit, while consumables are supplied by the carton.

Optimise every detail

The liner does more than protect the wood: it is what makes the set leak-proof and suitable for oven, microwave and freezer use.

The modular cardboard insert can be folded into two, three or four compartments and placed in direct contact with the food on its coated side. The box stays clean and can be reused several times, helping to reduce the cost per serving.

The rPET insert serves the same purpose in larger diameters, with a central space for sauce or sticks.
