Individual salad bowl or sharing format

The individual portion is ideal for meal salads, poke bowls and fruit salads. It is sold over the counter, picked up from a refrigerated display case and transported individually. The round and square salad bowls in rPET or transparent PET are perfect for this purpose: the contents are visible and the presentation can be judged without opening the container.

The sharing format meets a different need: corporate buffets, group deliveries and breakfast fruit platters. The large square Faro bagasse salad bowls hold several litres and are suitable for everything from pastries to a mixed salad for ten people.

In between, the round bagasse Meal Bowls are suitable for single meals, Buddha bowls and desserts. This is the format that moves fastest in click and collect.

One lid for several salad bowls

More capacities mean more lids, and this is where restocking errors begin. The range is designed to avoid this. The same square rPET lid fits all three capacities of square salad bowls. The same bagasse lid fits both Meal Bowl sizes. You can therefore stock one lid reference instead of three.

The large Faro salad bowls go even further: their flat lids not only allow stacking but also make it possible to combine the two sizes. The smaller bowl can be placed on the larger one, the whole set can be transported as a single unit, and the buffet can be built upwards rather than taking up more table space.

On the asymmetrical Faro bowls, the lid compensates for the shape: its two raised corners create a flat surface, allowing a container that would not stand securely on its own to be stacked. A small detail that makes a difference when loading the delivery vehicle.

Materials available in the Comatec range

Bagasse, made from sugar cane, dominates this category. It is used for the Faro and Meal Bowl ranges, with a natural white finish that works particularly well for healthy food brands and understated buffets. However, thermal compatibility varies from one reference to another within the same range. For the Meal Bowls, one size is microwave-safe while the other is not. Transparent rPET and PET are ideal for products that are sold visually: raw vegetables, mixed salads and cut fruit. rPET is recycled and recyclable. Some models are supplied with their lid included, eliminating an additional order line and reducing the risk of forgetting the lid during preparation.

The solid acacia wood salad bowl offers a different approach: it can be washed and reused, and is sold in sets of two or four pieces rather than by the carton. The two sizes can be combined to create a multi-level buffet. A set of washable bamboo salad servers completes the service.

The salad bowl according to the service occasion

In refrigerated display cases, whether at a delicatessen, catering shop or bakery, transparency wins: customers buy what they can see. The lid protects the contents without hiding them.

For click and collect and takeaway, the lid must remain secure in a bag or on a scooter. Models supplied with the lid included save time during packing when orders are prepared in batches.

For events and buffets, the large format becomes part of the presentation. Placed on a serving tray, it structures the table; in acacia wood, it remains in place and can then be taken to the washing area.
