Choosing the Right Restaurant Table Linen

Cocktail napkins are available in six colours: white, black, burgundy, apple green, clay and brick. They all fit into the bamboo dispenser, which keeps them upright on a bar or buffet and can be washed after service.

For a seated meal, choose a different format. Lux'Ouate is thick and embossed, the two-ply version is more classic, while the recycled napkin is made from 100% recovered fibres.

The cotton napkins feature a subtle contrasting trim. They are available folded or as pre-cut rolls: staff can tear them off as needed instead of counting them in advance. Two roll pack sizes are available—100 or 25 units—depending on whether you are supplying a continuous service or a one-off event.

Tissue, Paper or Nonwoven: What Difference Does the Material Make?

Cellulose tissue is absorbent and resists creasing. It is used for most napkins, in two-ply for everyday use and in an embossed version when the table calls for something more refined. Paper has a more matte, drier appearance, as seen with the brick cocktail napkin.

Nonwoven fabric serves a different purpose: it is used for tablecloths and for the napkin supplied in the cutlery pouch. It withstands pulling and tension better than paper, which matters when a tablecloth is unrolled and stretched across the full length of a table.

Tablecloth Rolls and Non-Slip Placemats

The WALKISOFT™ nonwoven tablecloth comes in a 50-metre roll, available in white or black. Cut it to the required length, table by table, without having to store five different sizes.

The non-slip placemat serves a different purpose. Placed at the bottom of a tray, it keeps containers securely in place during transport, preventing a verrine from sliding at the first turn. The black version is sized for Thema meal trays, while the grey version is designed for the Atlas format.

One important detail: the white version is suitable for dry, damp or greasy contact, whereas the black version is intended for dry contact only.

These placemats work equally well on a presentation tray at a buffet or in a meal tray prepared for delivery.

One final format to know is the kraft cutlery pouch. It holds the cutlery of your choice and comes with a nonwoven napkin.
