POTS JETABLES

The Disposable Container for Hot Food and the One for Cold Food

Cardboard containers are not all designed for the same purpose. The multi-purpose containers, available in white or kraft with a PE lining, can hold liquids up to 100 °C, provided they are filled hot and consumed within the hour. They are serving containers, not storage containers.

The Puro works differently. Kraft on the inside, kraft or black on the outside, it holds liquids and grease but is intended for cold preparations only: mixed salads, raw vegetables and cut fruit.

The Pokebowl, on the other hand, handles both ends of the temperature range. This kraft and PE range is microwave-safe and suitable for freezing, allowing you to prepare meals the day before and reheat them at service time.

The Bodeglass white bagasse bowl is also microwave-safe. The PET used for the Twist Bodega and Kosmo offers a different advantage: it keeps the contents visible, so a starter, fruit salad or confectionery can be seen through the container before purchase.

The Lid Should Be Chosen Together with the Container

The Twist Bodega closes with a screw-top lid, while the finish can change without changing the container: aluminium, matt grey PP or glossy black PP. The Kosmo follows the same principle, available in white, grey or fuchsia. A screw-top container remains upright, making it easy to store vertically.

The Puro and Pokebowl containers use snap-on lids rather than screw-top lids. Their lids are slightly raised, allowing filled containers to be stacked without crushing the contents.

Finally, the aluminium film seal for Yogur containers is heat-sealed without a sealing machine and remains suitable for freezer storage down to -20 °C.

For most ranges, the lid for a disposable container is ordered separately. A single lid often fits several capacities and sometimes several product ranges:

• One PP lid shared by the 50 and 75 cl Pokebowl containers and the 75 cl black Puro.
• A second, wider lid for the 85 cl, 1.13 l and 1.3 l Pokebowl containers.
• A microwave-safe PP lid shared by the Boko and Stone bowl.
• An rPET lid shared by the Yogur glass jars.

You can change the container without changing the lid reference, reducing the number of different items you need to keep in stock.

Disposable Containers for Takeaway and Events

The Pokebowl may take its name from a specific dish, but it is equally suitable for pasta, slow-cooked dishes or a large mixed salad. Five capacities, from 50 cl to 1.3 l, cover both individual portions and large formats. Its lid keeps the contents visible before opening, which is important for takeaway sales.

The multi-purpose container is designed for lunchtime service: soup or a hot dish is poured in when the order is placed, and the container is supplied with its lid.

The Kosmo can be customised through its combination of components. Transparent rounded base with a white, grey or fuchsia lid: one colour per recipe, making the buffet easy to spot from a distance.

What Can Be Washed and Used Again

The Twist Bodega is leak-resistant, stackable, recyclable and reusable: this disposable container can be used again before eventually being sent for recycling. The flexible PE lid used with Yogur containers can also be washed and reused.

Rubber seals and stainless-steel clips follow a different principle. Combined with a glass lid, they create an airtight closure on a Boko, and this container is designed to be returned: it belongs to the reusable range, rather than the disposable range.

For items sent for recycling, the aluminium seal is recyclable, and the Kosmo is also recyclable, including both the container and its lid.

Comatec, Disposable Container Supplier Since 1994

A lid that fits two different product ranges is not simply a catalogue coincidence. It is a design decision made in Carcassonne, where Comatec has been developing its product ranges since 1994.
