Choosing the Right Professional Plates

Cubik plates in bagasse, wood and kraft cardboard laminated with PET are oven- and microwave-safe, as are Komodo plates.

Ekopalm and Palma palm-leaf plates can withstand the same uses. Santo PP plates are microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe.

Disposable Cubik and Komodo plates are available in four sizes, from rectangular side dishes to square plates. Santo plates are round, while Ola plates are available in round or square shapes.

Materials Available in the Comatec Range

Bagasse is the most widely represented material among these professional plates. It is found in particular in the Cubik Fibra range and the white Komodo plates, as well as in Ola and certain Santo references.

Palm leaf is supplied in the form of a leaf sheath. Ekopalm plates feature rounded edges. Palma plates, available in rectangular or square formats, are also included in the Biodine meal tray tableware kits.

Wood is used for Cubik wood plates, while bamboo is used for Timmera plates, which can also be used as mini trays.

On the plastic side, PS is used for the crystal and black Cubik plates, the Bodeglass plate with raised edges, and the Textura range with a slate-effect texture. These products are made in France. PP is used for Santo plates, providing the same level of strength with less plastic.

Santo and Textura plates can be washed and reused. They are reusable products and are included in the reusable range.

One Lid Per Size, Six Materials to Choose From

The Cubik lid depends only on the size, not on the material. The same lid fits nine different references: six plates made from bamboo, cardboard, bagasse, wood, crystal PS or black PS.

You can therefore change the material without changing the lid, and only need to keep one lid reference per size in stock.

These lids are made in France from recycled and recyclable PET. Santo plates have their own lid, a dome made from recycled materials that is also recyclable.

Professional Plates and Kits for Different Types of Service

For meal trays, plate kits eliminate the need to select each reference individually: the Cubik Natural kit in kraft cardboard laminated with PET comes with its lid and fits into a base.

For cocktails and receptions, the smaller Cubik formats can be used as side dishes, while cutlery and kits complete the table setting.

In institutional catering, Santo plates can withstand industrial washing, allowing the same plates to be reused from one service to the next.

For takeaway, the Bodeglass plate with raised edges stacks beneath its flat lid, and up to four plates can fit inside a Bento meal box.

Without raised edges, the large Textura plate and the mini tray from the same range can also be used as presentation trays.
